AN exhibitionist who ended up in court after standing NAKED at the window of his home was yesterday ordered to cover himself up in future.

Paisley Sheriff Court heard that schoolkids were left stunned when the bus that was taking them home from lessons drove past Peter Fraser’s house and they saw him standing there completely starkers.

One person on the bus took a photo of 41-year-old Fraser in his birthday suit and the police were alerted.

The incident happened while the bus carrying pupils from Trinity High School in Renfrew was taking a detour due to traffic congestion. Fraser, of Fulbar Street, Renfrew, denied he had been the person reported for intentionally exposing himself to the teenagers when the case went to trial at court

...

Sheriff Pender told Fraser that he could have convicted him of indecent exposure but had decided that, in all of the circumstances, he would find him guilty of breach of the peace instead, adding that he accepted there was “no significant sexual element involved.”

It was stated that Fraser was out of work and surviving on incapacity enefits but would be in a position to pay a fine. Sheriff Pender fined him £200, to be paid at £10 per fortnight.

He told the accused: “You should be a little more discreet in future. I think that’s the message here.”

Oh dear, Scotland again. Look at the way the paper had to put "NAKED" in capitals. And good old "breach of the peace". Not guilty of the offence he was charged with, so let's get him on the catch-all.
